Engr. Effiong Okon, Chief Executive Officer Designate of Seplat Energy, Visits DIBIJ Energy Limited.

Engr. Effiong Okon, CEO Designate of Seplat Energy Plc, paid a visit to the corporate headquarters of
DIBIJ Energy Limited in Lagos, where he held strategic discussions with the Company’s leadership on the industry’s ambitious target for the nation to produce 3 million barrels of oil a day (bpd) by 2030.
The visit, coming shortly after his appointment as CEO Designate of Seplat Energy, provided an
opportunity to exchange perspectives on leadership, operational excellence, human capital
development and the critical role of indigenous energy companies in strengthening Nigeria’s energy
security and driving sustainable economic growth.
During the meeting, DIBIJ Energy’s management congratulated Engr. Okon on his appointment,
describing it as a significant milestone for Nigeria’s indigenous energy industry. The DIBIJ Energy team
also acknowledged his distinguished career spanning several decades in the oil and gas sector, including his leadership roles within Seplat and Shell, where he built a reputation for technical excellence, and operational delivery.
